We are
almost there. Together we can reach our
goal!
In 2017, Friends of Drummond and the Drummond Community took on the effort to reimagine the school's outdoor space in a way that is fun, educational, sustainable, and could be enjoyed by everyone with the Playspace Capital Campaign.
After two years of fundraising, we have raised over half of the CPS estimated cost of 1 million dollars for our new outdoor space, which is enough for CPS to put us on their construction schedule for summer 2020. THANK YOU to all our families that have donated!
While it's exciting to finally be on CPS’s construction schedule, we still need to raise an additional $125,000 to accomplish our basic design!
The impact of this project will benefit more than just our students. We want to create a warm, welcoming, communal space that is a beacon for everyone in the immediate neighborhood. Please consider partnering with us to make this a space for everybody to enjoy!
Our new outdoor play space will include:
- Playground equipment suitable for 2-5 and 6-12 year-olds
- New Swings
- Turf soccer field
- Rubberized surfacing along with sod
Gifts may be pledged; Payments can be made annually, quarterly, monthly, weekly— whatever works for you.
In recognition of the collective contributions of the entire community, all gifts will be recognized by a plaque placed in Drummond Montessori.
Businesses that contribute to our efforts with gifts of $500+ will be recognized with an outdoor banner. Businesses with $2500+ gifts will also be recognized on our social media plus on a plaque in our outdoor space.
We have a limited amount of 5 benches in our outdoor space that will be dedicated to gifts of $25,000+ by individuals/families with personalized plaques. Update: We are down to 4 available benches.

Friends of Drummond (FOD) is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. With your donation, you will receive a receipt for tax-deduction purposes. All Playspace Capital Campaign donations will be used for the the Outdoor Improvement Project.
